What yarn do you recommend?

I prefer working with cotton! My favorites are here and here.

Do I wear a bra under the top?

I prefer wearing pasties or petals, especially for halter styles.

How do I care for my top?

Spirit + Thread tops are carefully made with 100% cotton for comfort, and they require special care to ensure the longest life! Always wash your top by hand or on a gentle cycle. The first time you wash it, wash it alone in case yarn colors run. NEVER machine dry your top. It will shrink! Allow to air dry. Do not bleach, as the cotton yarn will dissolve!

How much is shipping?

Shipping and handling is a flat rate of $6. If you are in the Rochester area, we can arrange a time for you to pick up your top and avoid shipping costs. Please use promo code LOCAL at checkout.

Can I custom order dresses, skirts, or sets?

Yes! Send me an email if you are interested in commissioning a larger piece. I charge an hourly rate of $20 plus materials, and larger pieces take roughly 20-40 hours depending on length and size. Be sure to check out clearance for current inventory at reduced prices!

Can I wear my top in the water?

Yes! How cool is that? Your top won’t dry as fast as a typical swim top, but it will hold its shape and keep you covered in the pool or ocean.

How long will it take to make my top?

Each top is crafted with love, and takes time to make! Please allow 5 - 10 business days after your order has been placed. While crocheting is my specialty, I also work full-time and my schedule can be unpredictable. I do make it my priority to ship your tops out as soon as I can. I appreciate your patience!

Do you have a return policy?

I am committed to making sure that you are in love with your top. If, for any reason, you are not satisfied with your order, please get in touch with me within 14 days of purchase. I want every customer to become as excited as I am with their purchase!

Do you do custom orders?

Why do prices increase for larger sizes?

Top pricing is based on time spent crocheting and yarn used. As the size of a top increases, time and materials used increases significantly. I wish I didn’t have to increase price for larger sizes, but I have to recognize additional costs. Thank you for understanding why this is necessary!
